The next free update for No Man’s Sky titled NEXT will at last add the promised multiplayer feature the game was suppose to have nearly two years ago when it launched. Sean Murray officially announced the news on Twitter earlier today.

The new update which is happening on July 24 also coincides with the launch of the game on Xbox One, which comes complete with the new NEXT update.
It is unclear what the plans are for the title beyond this point, but we expect the studio to continue cooking up content for it as long as there is interest and passion.
