For those that don’t know Cavern Blogs are pretty much my end of/start of the week post (depending how you look at it) that wraps up the previous weeks news highlighting a selection of the posts. There is also a final thoughts section on the bottom where I’ll briefly discuss my own thoughts about select stories from the week or my own gaming experiences.

INJUSTICE 2 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trailer – Injustice 2 will be receiving a third fighter pack, the stars in this collection being guest characters The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
There wasn’t much in terms of buzzworthy news this week outside of the announcement that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be joining the roster of Injustice 2. Even if I never plan to pick up this game, I do think it is a good direction and perhaps a hint that they are just moving further in the direction of being a non-Marvel comic book character fighter. Perhaps NetherRealm’s next game will be exactly that, serving as a Injustice series spiritual successor with a more varied roster.
I haven’t talked about my own gaming experiences in over a week and at this point I’ve slowed down my time with Super Mario Odyssey and Destiny 2 significantly as I’ve essentially beat both of those games. There is still a lot of content left to play in each of them, and I am enjoying a slow pace as I work through it. I wanted to have my Mario review up by now, but we should see it go live this week. Destiny 2 may go live soon as well, however I was hoping to try out the raid before the review. My friends with the game haven’t been playing as much so they aren’t at that point just yet.
Lately I’ve been spending most of my game hours with Nioh, which just recently game out on PC. I enjoyed my experience with the original PlayStation 4 beta, actually almost purchasing that version, but I decided to wait and it paid off big time with this surprising port announcement. So far I’ve been having a great and challenging time with the game, which is like Demon’s Souls meets Ninja Gaiden meets Diablo. This game is lined up for review as well though so look forward to that eventually.
Looking forward, there isn’t a whole lot else game-wise I have my eyes on this year. I am anxious to give Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp a shot whenever that launches this month. Getting it this week would be nice, but I’m thinking it will launch the week of Thanksgiving. Outside of that there are also the typical December gaming events which could be interesting. This includes The Game Awards (Dec. 7) and PlayStation Experience (Dec. 9-10). We can almost certainly expect major reveals and trailers from both these events so mark your calendars.
Hope you all had and have a great week!
